Carmina

Du hast ja offensichtlich die Erfahrung: Was sagst du zu den von Carmina bei Loafern verwendeten Forest und Uetam im Vergleich? Im Netz liest man ja immer wieder, der Uetam sei "a shade narrower". Ich finde aber, die unterscheiden sich auch von der Form.
 
Absolut - während FOREST der für mich mit Abstand "klassischste" Carmina-Leisten ist (das kommt ganz besonders bei den Oxfords auf diesem Leisten zur Geltung, für mich typische "Präsidentenschuhe", die ich wie die Loafer als sehr klassisch traditionell formschön empfinde), ist der UETAM deutlich "schnittiger", auch flacher und schmaler. UETAM ähnelt hier SIMPSON - wer ihn tragen kann hat Glück, sind aber nicht so viele ;)

Carmina verwendet ein Weitensystem, was in etwa dem in UK (D – H) verwendeten entspricht. Wobei man sich auf die Weiten E und EE beschränkt, also generell einen schmaleren Fuß bedient. Analog zum amerikanischen System dürfte E und EE zirka C und D entsprechen (also nicht mit dem amerikanischem EE vergleichbar).
Bei Carmina fällt der Forest wie auch der Rain Leist m.E. recht klein und schmal aus. Bei meinem Rain habe ich 1/2 größer als normal und der Schuh musste auch wirklich eingeritten werden.

Über Carmina Leisten (auf Englisch):
Inca - Widest last and waist for wide feet (EE width). a pointed toe, on our widest last, with a fairly wide waist. The most comfortable last we have for wide and flat feet. EE width.
Rain - Like the Inca but with a chisel toe (EE width). Much like the Inca, but with a chisel toe. EE width
Soller - A boot last like Robert, fits like a double E.
Forest - Standard width with round toe (E width). a popular last in Europe, it is a standard width with a soft round toe, quite low in the instep, so high insteps can feel a little pinched in this last. E width.
Uetam - Similar to Forest but a shade narrower (E width). a new last for us in a loafer, it feels very similar to the Forest, if a shade narrower. E width.
Robert - Like the Simpson but more room in the toe box (E width).A rounded Almond toe, E width. Officially it is the same width as the Simspon, but the extra room at the toe tends to make it more comfortable for wider feet.
Queen - an E width, similar to Alcudia but shorter
Alcudia - Like the Simpson but with Almond toe (E width). much like the Simpson, but with more of an Almond Toe. E width.
Simpson - Narrow with chiseled toe, extended toe box (E width). a narrow last with a chisel toe. Reasonably extended in the toe box, and a reasonably narrow waist. E width
 
Jetzt ist auch die MTO Plattform von Carmina online, sehr interessante Modelle dabei.
 
Die neue Website sieht ja hübscher aus als die Alte. Stores, in denen man die Schuhe kaufen kann, gibt's wohl auch ;) und zwar "located in prominent streets of the most important cities" - aber anders als bisher sind die streets und cities nicht mehr genannt - oder bin ich nur zu blöd, diese Info zu finden? :confused:
