C&J Cavalry Calf Leder

So I take it you recommend C&J's corrected calf?

The quality of leather is mostly determined by its intrinsic properties. If you use high quality calf and 'correct' it for the glossy, cordovan-esque look the quality of the leather is still good. If you use bad quality leather and correct it the quality will still be bad. Both however will look the same at first. The quality of the former will only show over time.
'Corrected' has gained a bad reputation as it is often the latter of these two; poor leather that has been corrected to mask its lack of quality.
Reputable makers however won't risk their reputation or cut corners by using bad leather.
